Employee Relations

The Employee Relations department at TFG is responsible for managing the relationship between the company and its employees. They collaborate closely with other HR departments, such as training and development, as well as compensation and benefits. The department’s spectrum of services includes dispute resolution, policy development, implementation, and communication strategies. The aim of the department is to facilitate a favourable and productive working environment, ensuring that all employees are treated fairly and motivated to perform optimally.

Overview

Given TFG’s large workforce of over 34,000 staff members, ensuring clarity on ER (Employee Relations) queries and related process is crucial. The course emphasised the need for clear instructions regarding the involvement of HR Services when addressing ‘the human element’. Serving as a guideline to both ER Consultants, Line Managers and Staff, it outlined all the applicable RSA labour laws and associated policies.
